The ultimate goal of the organization is to create a welcoming atmosphere - community by community - in which immigrants are more likely to integrate successfully into the social fabric of their adopted hometowns.

CCISCO works to build civic engagement and increase public participation by those most affected by injustice and inequity in Contra Costa County. The organization is a multi-ethnic, multigenerational, interfaith federation of 25 congregations representing over 35,000 families across the County and organizes low and moderate income communities around the issues of housing, education, public safety, health care, and immigrant integration. CCISCO is also a part of the PICO CA Project and PICO National Network.

The Institute for Local Government, founded in 1955 is the nonprofit research and education affiliate of the League of California Cities and the California Association of Counties. The Institute works on many programs such as healthy communities, local government 101, public service ethics, public engagement, and climate change. The public engagement program supports effective and inclusive public engagement in California cities
and counties.

International Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA)International Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA)

IIBA, founded in 1918, is a non profit that welcomes, educates and serves immigrants as they join and contribute to the community. IIBA provides legal services, educational workshops, and outreach to assist with the welcoming effort. The Antioch IIBA office provides low cost immigration and naturalization services.

2nd ANNUAL CITIZENSHIP DRIVE IN OAKLEY A SUCCESS!
By the end of the event over 20 communtiy members were helped through the application process, 6 of which were Oakley residents!

AWARD FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF DIVERSE COMMUNITIES
You, Me, We Oakley! is honored by the League of California Cities when they present the program with the "Award for the Advancement of Diverse Communities", which recognizes Oakley as a model of inclusion.

 MULTICULTURAL POTLUCK DINNER IN APRIL!

You, Me, We Oakley! will be hosting a Multicultural Potluck Dinner on Thursday,  April 25th at 6:30pm.
